BOOSTER TRAINING
It was wonderful to see those of you who attended the Booster Training in December 2016. The topics of ‘Self Care’, ‘Managing Risky Behaviour’ and ‘Relational Skill Building’ were covered. The slides have been uploaded to the members’ area of the RESuLT web site. Also, thank you to those of you who attended the RESuLT Update Day in March. Lovely to see you all.
ACCREDITATION
We are delighted to announce the first cohort of accredited facilitators in RESuLT. These include Lindsay Truby and Clinton Whitehouse (Oxfordshire County Council). Also, Jan Hext, Lisa Armitage and Jacquie Edhouse (Leeds City Council). Congratulations to all of you!
Each facilitator has completed three rounds of training delivery under consultation from the NIS and will be eligible for consideration as the Licensed Trainer model in RESuLT is developed.
GOVERNMENT RESPONSE
Towards the end of 2016 the Government responded to Sir Martin Narey’s Independent Review of Residential Care – “Sir Martin Narey highlighted the positive impact of further training and development approaches such as the RESuLT programme developed by the NIS. The department will ensure that commissioners have the information they need regarding evidence based programmes and approaches which are likely to prove effective in developing staff.” For the full response, please click here.
INDEPENDENT EVAULATION OF RESuLT
In 2016, the University of Bristol, Loughborough University and Ipsos MORI published their independent evaluation of an independent evaluation about RESuLT.
Thank you to all of you who helped to make the evaluation possible.
